Michael Poffenbarger Obituary
Michael Lynn Poffenbarger passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, April 10, 2017. Michael was born May 29, 1962 in Baltimore, MD, son of Edward and Ida Mae Poffenbarger. He graduated from Mainland High School in Daytona in 1980. Then he served our country in the US Navy. After his service, he returned and took part in the family business and later went on to work for Hudson Technologies in Ormond Beach, FL and had 17 years as a furnace operator there. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward L. Poffenbarger. Survived by mother Ida Mae Poffenbarger and brothers Steven Poffenbarger & Jean of West Union, WV and Randall Poffenbarger of South Daytona, FL and loving niece Jessica Poffenbarger, aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be missed dearly. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan and had many followers that cheered with him and worked with him along his journey. A Celebration of Life will be held at Rima Ridge Baptist Church, Rt. 40 & Cone Rd., Ormond Beach, FL on May 4th, 2017 at 6:30 PM. Fellowship to follow.

Just saw this today as I was in Daytona. Very sad to see this. Prayers to his family. We served on the same ship stationed in Mayport.

I will deeply miss my Best Friend! I know he is not in pain or suffering any longer! He is safe & comfortable with God family & friends and for that i am grateful. I am humbled , honored, proud & Blessed to have had Mikey as my best friend & my family! My heart thoughts & prayers go out to Mrs Ida Mae, Steve & Randy i love u all.
