Sending love to Chris and his family. I recall many happy hours around fires singing folk music, Black and White New Year's party, and his giant set of the OED. Mike's knowledge and passion for C S Lewis was inspiring.

Michael was a gentle soul, and I enjoyed it when we shared the top floor offices of a small house on the University of Delaware campus, and frequently visited back and forth to chat a few minutes. I always admired his enthusiasm for All Things Arthurian, and I often took his advice about which movies to rent from Video Americaine in Newark. He was a good colleague, and my memories of Mike are all strong and good ones.

I can still see and hear you making a wry comment, and grinning that unflaggable smile of yours. You are definitely missed. Sending love to Chris and your family.
