Mike will be sorely missed as he was a great human being.
He accomplished so much in his life.
Although, I have not spoken to him in years, we went to UGF together. We would study and work hard in our classes. He always had an easy smile or an encouraging word.
Ultimately, we both were able to accomplish our dreams of becoming physicians.
His family should know how much others admired him; not only in Wisconsin but Montana as well.

Unfortunately, it sometimes takes a tragedy for us to share our true feelings towards a friend. I write, hoping that others that remember Mike's name from his coaching or playing days, understand we lost a great man.
Mike was my basketball coach, but really he became a big brother. He always found time for others and he helped me grow up. His voice is ingrained in my mind. Mike commanded respect without necessarily yelling. I've never heard anyone say a bad word about Mike.
Hopefully Mike's family and friends will find peace knowing the impact Mike had on many lives. Until we meet again, big brother.

Mike was truly an incredible guy. He was a great person, coach, athlete & friend. He was one of our junior high basketball coaches & I remember everyone hoping that Mike was their coach when teams were picked. Even if Mike didn't coach your respective team he always took the time to give every kid a few hoop pointers & he always had time to BS. He was more than a basketball coach he was a friend and mentor & I can only imagine what kind of father and husband Mike was. I know Mike left his mark on Great Falls and the surrounding areas & this good guy will truly be missed.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Mike's wife & daughters.

Mike Richter was my brother's junior high basketball coach. He ended up being much more than that. He became a mentor, a role model, and a friend to our entire family.
I remember many a saturday we would end up at the Heisey playing basketball with Mike. He was one heck on an athlete, and an even better man. Mike will be missed, but certainly not forgotten.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Mike did not live a long life, but he lived a meaningful one. He made a difference in the lives of a family in Riverview. Thanks Mike.
