Michael A. Roderick

WHITMAN---Michael A. Roderick, 40, of Whitman, formerly of Easton, passed away unexpectedly on March 1, 2020. He was the devoted husband of Meredith M. (Witman) Roderick for 10 love filled years. Born in Stoughton, a son of Carol (Mixer) Roderick of Easton and the late Leslie Roderick, he was raised in Easton and was a 1997 graduate of Oliver Ames High School. Michael loved being there for others in any way he could. He enjoyed mentoring younger kids during his time as a little league baseball umpire. He was the one in the neighborhood that brought everyone together especially when he put his attention to detail into making his very own Green Monster in his backyard. Michael began his working career with Security Federal Savings Bank as branch manager and later as the loan servicing officer. He later took a position with Dunkin' Brands of Canton where he worked as a senior manager in contract administration. Michael's passion was helping all of this team members and coworkers grow personally and professionally. Michael enjoyed experiencing the awe and wonder of Disney during trips with his family. You could find his infectious smile at a Rev's game, a summer day at the pool, grilling with friends and family or just relaxing on the couch at home. It made you feel warm and loved whenever you were near him. Michael shared his unwavering faith in the Lord with everyone he came in contact with. He lived and served in God's love and shared his light with all those around him. In addition to his wife Meredith and his mother, he is survived by his children, Matthew Roderick and Nathan Roderick both of Whitman and Michael Roderick and Eva Roderick both of East Bridgewater; his siblings, Juli Beth Anderson of Dighton, Jeffrey Anderson and his wife Susan of Plymouth, Brendon Anderson and his wife Susan of Pembroke, Peter Roderick of Taunton, Leslie Roderick and his wife Kathy of Brockton, Tommy Roderick of East Bridgewater, Cathy April of Easton, Bobby Roderick of Wareham, and Ella Hayward and her husband Don of Wareham; also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Charles "Chuck" Anderson, Roy Roderick, Frederick Roderick and Edward Roderick. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Grace Chapel, 101 Wales Ave, Avon, MA. 02322.
