I knew Michael 1st through his sister Edwsina who was a dear friend of mine with a precocious younger brother. We all became fast friends as we went through Hi School and on into adult life. I last saw Michael when he came yo attend Edwaina's funeral but spoke with him by phone.
May you Rest in Peace, Michael and Thank you for your service.

On behalf of the Hill Family, We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to Tyrone, Mikako and the Fisher family for the loss of your Patriarch! We are grateful to have been afforded the opportunity to be a part of Papa´s life and he always made us feel apart of his family! I can still hear him when in his presence, "Hey Son in Law"! I am truly proud to have shared many road trips, birthdays, BBQs and other family events with you. Our family also bonded very well and enjoyed our fellowship together. Thank you for giving me your blessings to marry your daughter Mikako, whom I love with all my heart. You will truly be missed, but never forgotten. RIH Papa!

It is with deep sorrow that I share my condolences with the family of the Late Michael Rodrick Fisher..."Papa", as he was so affectionately called. I only recently met Papa through his lovely daughter, Mikako. What a joy it was to meet him! I immediately knew that Papa truly loved his children, Mikako and Tyrone. He adored and delighted in them! I learned that Papa served in the military for many years. Hence, Papa was a hero, a man willing to sacrifice his life for a greater cause. And as a Black man serving in the armed forces at the time he enlisted, I would imagine it wasn´t easy. But Papa persevered; he was willing to sacrifice his life so that we might live! What bravery, what courage, and an immutable call to duty! But Papa was not just a soldier for the United States of America. Many years ago, Papa enlisted in God´s army, the army of the Lord! During the times I visited him and prayed for him, I sensed his love and reference for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Let us all be confident in knowing that the same freedom that Papa fought for on this side, he is now enjoying in Heaven. He is resting in the arms of the Lord, free from this world´s trials and suffering. Papa has been set free to rejoice in the Lord for all eternity!

Mitako I feel as if I know you. Your father as talk about you and Tyrone so much it seems as if I've known you all of your lives. My heart is broken and I don't know what to do about it. I thank the Lord for receiving him knowing that one day we will see him again. So I'm sending you my condolences in hopes that the Lord will strengthen us all to get through this awaited time. Right now our eyes are filled with tears but one day, maybe not soon we will remember every beautiful moment with a smile of joy and happiness of the memory that we all shared with him .
