Born to Raymond and Helen Ross in Oroville, CA, the family, including his older brother Richard, moved to Redding in 1964. Mike graduated from Shasta High in 1974 and worked most of his life in the heavy duty parts industry.
Mike married Cindy Belchoff in 1977 and they had three children: Nikki, Danielle, and Lance.
He was preceded in death by his father Ray, brother Rick, and son and best friend Lance.
He leaves behind his mother Helen (Sheldon) Ross-Colosio, wife Cindy Ross, daughters Nikki (Rich) Ross-Hicks and Danielle (Pete) Ross-Dobrec, and three grandchildren Kurtis, Kourtnie, and Jaxon Hicks.
Mike had an amazing talent and love for baseball and coaching. He was kind and generous and loved his family. He will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 26th from 12-4pm at Palo Cedro Inn (PCI) in Palo Cedro, CA.

I haven't seen Mike in probably 20 years, he was a good friend way back when. My prayers are with all family and friends at this time. I cannot make it for his celebration, I surely wish I could to see Helen. Sad. Rest In Peace my brother.
