Dear Marilyn and family,
You won't remember my name because we met very briefly more than 40 years ago at your home in south Miami. I met Mike in 1963 in Bolivia during a near civil-war crisis while I was serving as a Peace Corps Physician...and we stayed in touch for a number of years afterwards, including a year during which I traveled around the world on a sailboat. Some people one never forgets, and Mike was one of them for me. My wife Nancy and I send sincere, although belated, condolences...as I just today learned of Mike's passing. I believe I have an old photograph of him I took in Bolivia in 1963. Warm regards,
Barnett (Barney) Cline

Marilyn, Karen and Nina - my thoughts are with you all. Such fond memories I have of your dad. When I ran into him it was usually around barns and horses. He would greet me with warmth, genuine interest and his huge smile - memories of which puts a smile on my own face. He will be greatly missed.

Karen, I am thinking of you, your Mom and Sister as you deal with this loss. Your father was a special man - as evidenced by the fact he attracted your Mom, and they produced and raised 2 incredible daughters. What a legacy.

Dear Marilyn, Karen and Nina. I am sorry to read of Michael's passing. I have many good memories of his generous offerings of time and help in various Pony Club and riding events. He always had the most welcoming smile and a kind greeting for everyone.

When the Rougier family moved in across the street from us in the summer of '72 Michael was like a celebrity, compared with the rest of us "farm folk". Michael and his family brought a new sense of aliveness and interest to our neighbourhood and community with their interesting and adventurous background and LA lifestyle. Along with Michael's regular publishings of the Beaver Lake Gazette which was always entertaining and offbeat. He was truly a gift in my life and will be sadly missed. Renee Wilkins & David McClure
