Michael "Mickey" Saperstone

Michael "Mickey" Saperstone, a dedicated husband, father, brother, son and proud Temple University graduate, passed away on December 4, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on April 17, 1944, in Belle Harbor, Queens, New York, Mickey built a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant, serving in distinguished roles at both Aramark and Conrail. Throughout his professional journey, he created a loving home for his family in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, eventually retiring to Wimauma, Florida.

Mickey greatly enjoyed his years at Camp Taconic, where he spent summers both as a camper and later as a counselor. His creative spirit found expression through photography, a lifelong passion that earned him several awards over the years. A devoted Philadelphia sports enthusiast, Mickey took great joy in following the Phillies and 76ers, sharing his passion for Philly teams with his children. His commitment to both his professional endeavors and personal interests reflected the dedication he showed in all aspects of his life.

Mickey leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory, including his devoted wife of almost 53 years, Penni Saperstone; his sons Randy and Matthew; daughters-in-law Wendy and My Di Le; and his beloved grandchildren Jordan, Nate, and Connor.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory is a blessing and will continue to bring warmth and inspiration to those he left behind.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mickey's memory to the Babies Heart Fund at Columbia University Irving Medical Center or to the Alzheimer's Association.
