Michael Savage Obituary
Surviving is his father, William, his sister, Jill, and brother-in-law, Nick. He leaves behind his bride, Melanie and her children Katherine & Joseph. His mother, Dorothy, passed just recently and they are together once again.
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Saturday, September 29th, from 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of sending flowers, please think of a good memory of Michael.

Michael was like a big brother to me for many years. His heart was bigger than you could ever imagine. I thank him for being the reason I love Sundays and football, although I was a Giants fan and he a Jets. There was always more than one telivision, with mutiple games on. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends. Rest in peace my friend.

I am so saddened over his loss, but with that, happy memories fill my heart ... We have shared some of the best times of my youth, and made some of the best memories that will last a lifetime. I can close my eyes and just think back to so many great times.... Although I cannot attend his memorial, I want to extend my heartfelt condolences to his family and all of his friends. I remember having Mike in class and being double teamed by him and Tommy Schnaars, but behind that devilish grin, there was a good, loyal friend to those who were close to him. I remember him calling mne after my retirement to take care of a trip he had planned with his family. I found it very touching that he thought of me after all those years. Rest in Peace, Mike!

Mike was truly unique! He was a great friend. There was nothing he wouldn't do for a friend in need. He could make anyone laugh. I am honored that he was one of my groomsmen in my wedding 13 years ago. Growing up 5 houses away from him, I can say that there are just too many things that I can remember from all the years of hanging out with him but I will try to name a few. I will never forget him driving his mom crazy and watching her chase him either around the house or around the backyard. I laughed hysterical the times he would steal his own Christmas lights and then throw them at his own house! I could go on and on, but it gets harder to put these things in words as I try to type them! He was a great friend and will truly be missed! RIP Mike! Until we meet again...
