My condolences to the Schodowski Family.
I grew up watching Big Chuck from Slavic Village as a child and still watch the skits on youtube.
My husband passed at the age of 45, so I feel for his widow. The loss doesn't get easier to bear. You just learn to put it aside in public because you'll realize not everyone wants to hear your sadness. It's been almost 5 years now and I rejoice in knowing he is with the Lord, waiting for me.
My oldest son passed away a year ago at the age of 31 and a year before that my father passed. No parent should bury a child they say. But no matter the relation, when someone is so loved, the pain is all the same. We get through it in our own time in our own way. Look to Michael to guide you through this. He sounds like a wonderful man loved by so many. His love will help you more than anything. Cherish those memories. Don't dwell in sorrow but be happy for having loved him.
May the peace and love of God be with you all. Smile for your loved ones who have passed before us for they are with God our Father.

but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.

But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,

Oh so sad to learn of Dr. Schodowski passing. He was the only 'gentle dentist' I have known. Never a pain was felt for as long as I have been going to him. For 40 years, Michael has been a trusted and devoted friend and, although we only saw each other a couple of times a year, to say he will be missed is a gross understatement. He is a part of so many memories of my life for the past 40 years; most especially as my best man at my and Peg's wedding 30 years ago. I'm so glad that we managed to slip away from our busy family and professional lives to enjoy a trip to Niagara-on-the Lake, ON a couple of years ago. We so enjoyed spending that brief, but special, time with him and Claudia. Peg and I have loved watching their children grow into the fine young women and men that they are and we know what a treasured legacy of love they will be. Michael fills a void that was awaiting him in his New Life but leaves behind such a void in the lives of those who loved him. Our thoughts and prayers are with Claudia, the kids and all of Michael's family and we pray that peace of mind will find it's way into their lives as they travel down this road of grief. I am so sorry to hear about Dr. Schodowski. About 7 years ago I interned at his office and it was my first ever dental experience while I was still in school. He has such a nice quiet way about him and then he could zing you with one funny line. He was a a wonderful person and Helped those around him and I never saw him ever be anything but nice to all of those around him.
