Here´s a poem for Mike and his friends and family:
In Memory of Mike Sehl
For his Celebration of Life
A skyward soul, our Mike took flight,
With kindness, wit, and heart so bright.
As PAOP´s leader, four years strong,
He built a community where all belong.
From courtroom law to cockpit´s call,
He gave his time, his heart, his all.
Smart and generous, with a sailor´s grace,
He lit the world with a smiling face.
On wings of steel or ocean´s breeze,
Mike chased adventure, lived with ease.
From MS rides to soccer´s cheer,
His boundless spirit drew us near.
For Suzanne, Alison and Mike, his cherished kin,
His love was deep, a flame within.
To Mason, Carson, tales he´d share,
A grandfather´s joy beyond compare.
At Heritage Field, his stories soar,
In newsletters penned, forevermore.
A pizza shared, a flight to send,
Mike Sehl, our captain, our friend.
With thanks to Suzanne´s, Alison´s and Mike´s care,
We gather now, his light to share.
In skies above, his laughter rings,
Mike flies eternal on boundless wings.

Great photo of Mike. Captures his spirit and love for life.
Suzanne, you know how deeply Frances and I feel about your loss and how much we will all miss Mike. We are grateful for the good times we have spent with you both over the years. We appreciate your hospitality and sharing during more recent times all the more.
You know that I have often told you both that Mike was my favorite cousin. It may be that it started with his mother, Dorothy, who was also a very special person in my life.
As they say, they don't make them like that anymore, and that is truly a pity. Especially now that the world needs more special people like Mike.

Dear Sehl Family,
Kara and I were heartbroken to recently learn of Mike´s passing on February 11, 2025. He was a friend whose kindness touched family, friends, and the community in countless ways. As president of the Pottstown Aircraft Owners and Pilots (PAOP), Mike led with energy and dedication, organizing cherished events like the holiday food drive and the summer luau. His passion for aviation shone through in his prolific writing-monthly PAOP newsletters and articles that chronicled his life and love for flying, leaving a legacy for anyone who wishes to know more about him.
Mike was always there when it mattered. I´ll never forget the day he flew Tim to Winchester, Virginia, to inspect an airplane. Knee-deep in our work, he surprised us by ordering a pizza-a small gesture that captured his thoughtfulness and generosity perfectly.
You´re in our thoughts during this difficult time.
With sympathy,
Tim and Kara

To Suzanne and family. Mike was such a joy to know and to be a fellow classmate at Belknap, and fellow member of the Belknap 5.
He was so happy and proud to have received an honorary degree. He will be missed for his smile and laugter.
