Michael Skrocki

Corning - Michael A. Skrocki, 63, passed away at Corning Guthrie Hospital on Sunday, January 4, 2026 after an extended illness. He was born January 11, 1962 in Urbana, NY to the late Casimir and Josephine (LeClair) Skrocki. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Patricia and Susan, Karen and Mary.

He was a graduate of Bath Haverling High School, class of 1980. He continued his education and went on to graduate from SUNY Morrisville and from Corning Community College. He was a hard-working, conscientious member of the IT department at Corning Community College for 25 years. Mike also had another unofficial role at the College. He took pride and much care for archiving many items and events at the College throughout his tenure. He captured these moments through his love of photography. His care and attention to the historical value for the College's involvement throughout the community will be greatly missed.

After Michael retired from Corning Community College, he dedicated all of his time to taking care of his elderly parents until their passing. He always said, "It was time well spent." He later went on to continue his working career as a bus driver for the Bath Central School District.

Michael enjoyed spending time with his friends, whether it be at the Grassroots Music Festival camping, attending events with his beloved Winer's group, enjoying a good meal, collecting dozens of old books, photos, or just spending time with his family, whom he treasured very much. His generosity and lighthearted personality will be dearly missed by many.

Michael is survived by his brother David (Cindy) Skrocki and sister Beverly Skrocki, and his nephew Ryan and niece Sara (Walker) and her family.

Michael's family has entrusted his care to the Bond-Davis Funeral Home of Bath.

On behalf of honoring Michael's wishes, no public services will be held. A private burial will be at the convenience of his family.
