Michael A. Staton
SPRINGFIELD, IL - Michael A. Staton, 65, passed away Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at his home.
Michael was born Oct. 17, 1948, in Evanston the son of William and Cecelia Budzinski Staton. He married Rita Marie DeMichael on May 10, 1975; she preceded him in death in 2007.
He was a graduate of Maine East High School and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his children, Michael W. Staton and Amy Walker, both of Springfield; and six grandchildren: Karissa, Noah, Hannah, Haley, Jarret and Jathan Walker all of Springfield.
There will be a memorial gathering from 10 a.m. until noon on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home.
