In memory of
Tom Kerins
May 5, 2024
Mike was my soccer coach when I was a kid, and I grew up with Mac and the twins. To be honest, he scared me most of the time. Looking back though, I realized he wasn't trying to be scary. He was trying to teach us to be gentlemen and sportsmen. This no-nonsense mentoring style has made more and more sense to me as I've grown into an adult. Mike was a good man, and he will be missed.

I first met Mike back in 1988 or 1989 while playing church league basketball. He played for Holy Redeemer. He played post and always played hard and with a competitive attitude. When I would see him off the court, it was at a council meeting or other function where he usually had on a suit and tie. Much different than his basketball court attire. We would greet each other and each ask if we had been playing any ball lately.
May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Michael was a great attorney and a terrific guy. We shared a passion for live jazz. I sorely regret I didn´t get to know better.

I remember Mike so well as a strong supporter of the Jesuit Volunteers of which I was one. He was slow and lumbering on the basketball court but a speedster when it came to any human being who needed help in any way. His heart was huge. Almost as huge as his capacity to huge quantities of people at the annual crab fest in North Bend, a memory never forgotten. One of many, many memories of this human being who cared more for justice for his fellow human beings than anyone else. My arms are around Mary Lou and the entire Stebbins clan.

Mike was our leader on the Public Defender basketball team. He led us on the court and in the bar. Truly a gentleman!
