Michael A. Strella

I am just learning of Michael's death today. He came to my mind today as I was remembering my time in Tampa in 2002. Michael was my mentor while I worked at Banker's Life and Casualty. He offered me support, kindness, and friendship while we worked together and I have never forgotten it. I was writing in my daily journal and I used a trick he taught me for organizing thoughts and data. I searched for him online, and found this obituary.

Thank you, Michael, for giving so freely to a kid who you got stuck with at work. Thank you, Michael, for letting me learn the industry at your side.

Tim and I were saddened to learn of Michael's passing. His mother was my dad's sister, thus Michael and Martha, as well as Joey were my first cousins. We grew up together in Cementon. I fondly remember celebrating Russian Christmas at their home. Our hearts go out to Suzy, Martha and Joey as they cope with the loss of their wonderful husband/brother. Joan Nestor McDonald

Michael will remain in our hearts. He was a wonderful , sweet and thoughtful man. I'm grateful I got to spend some time with him during my visit to Fl some years ago. You and Michael remain in my prayers.
