Michael Thompson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 1, 2025.
Michael E. Thompson, 52 of Coatesville known as "Mikey", passed suddenly on September 29th, 2025. Born on February 11th, 1973 in West Chester, he was the son of the late Dorothy Y. Powers Quay and the late Raymond L. Thompson Jr. Mikey was preceded in death by his sister Holly Thompson. Mikey was a devoted Brother, Friend and Uncle. The kind of man who never took any nonsense, yet welcomed others into his life with open arms especially with one of those big ol bear hugs where you could feel every ounce of his love. He worked for On the Go Kids at the time of his passing and the flagger force seasonally throughout the past several years. His favorite thing in the world was spending time with his family and fur babies. Mikey was the King of old western movies, especially anything John Wayne. Michael is survived by his siblings Tracy L. Quay of Coatesville and her Husband, Clinton J. Arnold and Raymond L. Thompson III of Downingtown and his wife, LaVonne; six nephews, Raymond L. Thompson IV, Zachary Thompson, John Malandro, Dustin Hawk, Brennan Hawk and Miles Arnold; and Four Nieces, Emily Thompson, Madalyn Hawk, Hollyann Arnold and Karen Shane. He also had six great-nieces, Luciana Thompson, Kassidy Moyer, Zenith Thompson, Chloe Malandro, Sage Noble, and Jazmyn Phoenix and six great-nephews, Isaiah Thompson (Zay), Jaxon Phoenix, Lenox Thompson, Maverick Thompson, Symir Noble and Benjamin Ortiz. His family will miss the sounds of his laugh, that could take a brick house down and the wonderful feeling of his hugs that could cure anyones worst day. Waiting for him on the other side, in the front of the line, is his "Bo Bo". There's a go-fund me to help cover the costs of his unexpected passing. A huge Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
