Rest in Peace Mike. Heart breaking to hear this news even though its been some time. My sincere condolences to your family. First you were the kid that lived across the street from me and my family, then you became my best friend and then my big brother growing up in Kirkland WA. I'll forever cherish the memories of all the fun and crazy times we had as kids and teens. One of the many times I won't ever forget is when we jumped from the 75 foot section of the Evergreen Floating Bridge into Lake Washington. Only you could of talked me into that with your positive 'can do anything' attitude you always had! The picture is of the place and time we set out for a simple hike to a campground you knew of, but we soon got completely lost and spent an entire day climbing nearly straight up a mountain while hacking thru thick brush to make our own trail then ended up at the place in the picture. You were fearless, strong and gave 110% in all that you did. You had the biggest heart of anyone I've ever known. My family and I were blessed to have known you, your mom, dad and sisters as well. Your athleticism, baseball skills and spirit were unmatched and you made me a better player because of it. I wish we could of stayed in touch as we grew up and started families of our own as I'm sure the fun times would of only gotten better! Rest in Peace 'MAT' .. I'll see you again in heaven brother. He was so passionate about inspiring his sons to perform well in their sports. I'll never forget the time we worked on the wave runner for about two hours to find out he didn't fill the gas tank up after picking it up from winter storage and we had such a good laugh! Although I did not know Michael, I wanted you to know that my son has been taking lessons and working out for a year at Extra Innings and played with one of your sons on fall ball last year. Both my son Andy and my wife and I appreciate the opportunity Extra Innings has given Andy to improve his baseball skills. He has grown very attached to both Cisco and Ken and has learned a lot from them. Again my condolences to you at this very hard time and I will continue to pray for you and your kids.
