Michael Steven Trujillo

Aztec - Michael Trujillo, 63, of Aztec New Mexico, passed away Sept. 13th, 2023 after a long battle of cancer, Surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his daughter Jacqueline, parents Joe and Maggie, sister Donna, and his in-laws Walter and Mercy. Although cancer took him away from us his loving heart left a beacon of light for all his family and community. Born on June 28th, 1960 in Farmington, NM; Mike was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. Mike was known for his infectious smile and laughter and his love for making others smile. He had a great sense of humor and was always full of jokes. His caring nature extended to his family, whom he cherished deeply. Mike is survived by his wife, Natalie of 40 years, and their children Steven and Bryant (Brandi), Destinee, Jonathan (Michelle), and the highlights of his life, his grandchildren Davon, Zaina, Damian, Dayton, Lucas, Angielee, Marcus, Callie, Darrion. Mikes brother Ron (Shannon), Sister, Loretta. And many nieces and nephews. After completing education at Aztec high school, Mike pursued his career as a barber for 44 years, he dedicated his skills and passion to his profession, bringing joy to his clients throughout his work. As member of St. Josephs church mike found solace and community in his place of worship. His faith provided him with strength and comfort throughout this life. In his leisure time, mike enjoyed music, dancing and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. These hobbies brought him joy and allowed him to unwind from the demands of his career and family life.

A funeral service will be held at St. Joseph church in Aztec, NM. October 6th, 11:00am and a rosary will be held October 5th, 6:00pm. The compassionate team and cope memorial in Farmington, NM, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mike Trujillo will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His Laughter. Kindness, and unwavering love for his family and friends will forever be remembered and cherished.
