August 31, 1954 - June 5, 2024

Michael Dennis Tryon, 69, of Orient, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.

Michael was born on August 31, 1954 in Elizabeth, NJ to the late Arthur and Claire Tryon.

Michael spent his career as a trial attorney and owned his own law firm for many years. He was a graduate of Washington and Lee School of Law and Lafayette University.

Michael spent the majority of his years as a resident of Long Island, most notably on the North Fork and Shelter Island. Michael was an active member of the community and he took pride in helping others.

A loving father, grandfather and friend, Michael is survived by daughters Alison Zink and Jennifer (Chris) Houston as well as grandchildren Liam and Claire Zink and Ellie, Catherine and Annie Houston. Michael was predeceased by brother Donald Tryon.

A dear friend to many, Michael will be deeply missed.

Services for Michael will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 5-7pm at Horton-Mathie Funeral Home in Greenport, NY.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in the name of his beloved dog Bonnie to the North Fork Animal Welfare League.

I can´t look at a Yankee game without remembering Mike taking me to the new stadium. The fact that the seats were higher than the American Flag in left field, just didn´t matter. Being one of many cousins there are too many memories to share. Rest In Peace Mike
