Michael Edward Vik, 18, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, passed away on November 29, 2023, in Albuquerque. Born on December 28, 2004, in Albuquerque, Michael was a beloved son of Crystal Vik and a cherished brother of Dian Bowes.

Michael was a happy and fun-loving individual who brought joy to the lives of everyone he knew. He had a caring nature and always made an effort to connect with others. His infectious laughter and positive energy will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

In his free time, Michael enjoyed engaging in various outdoor activities. He had a passion for 4x4ing and trail riding, finding solace in the great outdoors. He also loved gathering around bonfires with friends and family, creating lasting memories and sharing stories.

When he wasn't exploring the outdoors, Michael found enjoyment in playing video games. He had a competitive spirit and spent countless hours immersed in virtual worlds, often engaging in friendly competition with his peers.

A celebration of Michael's life, known as "Mr. Vik's Life Party," will be held on December 22, 2023, at his mother's home in Rio Rancho, starting at 6 p.m. This gathering will serve as a testament to the impact he had on those around him and will provide an opportunity for loved ones to come together and remember the joy he brought into their lives.
