Michael Vincel

Michael Robert Vincel Jr., a man of remarkable spirit and unwavering devotion to his family, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025, at the age of 100, in Charlottesville, VA. Born on September 20, 1924, in the Bronx, NY, Michael lived a long and fulfilling life marked by service, love, and a keen intellect.

Michael's life journey began with a call to duty, serving in the Merchant Marine during World War II. This experience instilled in him a deep sense of patriotism and resilience. Following his service, he embarked on a successful career as a business insurance broker. In his retirement, Michael embraced the tranquility of rural life, becoming a farmer. He also nurtured a lifelong passion for investing, always eager to share his insights and knowledge. Above all, Michael cherished his family, providing unwavering support and guidance. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, always available to offer his opinion and share his wisdom. His proudest accomplishment was his family, whom he loved deeply. His admiration of the class that each member of the clan displayed was his badge of honor.

Michael leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He was the beloved husband of over 80 years and to his wife, Mildred, whom he married on September 10, 1944. He is survived by his four children, Suzanne Aiello, Robert Vincel, Christine Javidi, and Jennifer Olsen; nine grandchildren, Amy Aiello, Jessica Aiello, Tracy Vincel, Brian Vincel, Carrie Ann Vincel, Jeremy Javidi, Michael Javidi, Adam Javidi, and Peter Javidi; and fifteen great-grandchildren, Hannah Folek, Maya Folek, Gabriel Folek, Cole Vincel, Margaret Vincel, Trimmer Vincel, Keegan Siefert, Michael Darius Javidi, Alexandra Javidi, Eli Javidi, Ash Javidi, Liam Javidi, Kian Javidi, Mary Javidi, and River Javidi.

Michael's love, wisdom, and presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
