Kathleen And Irwin Koss (Christopher Maloney´s sister and brother-in-law)
August 1, 2022
Michael Christopher Walsh was a person who only comes along once in a lifetime.
My husband, Irwin Koss, a nice Jewish boy, and I were privileged to know him because my brother, Christopher Maloney, married his daughter, Michele Walsh.
Michael and Irwin talked up a storm when ever they met. We have so much respect for the work he did to help create the Irish Cultural Center.
Michael was a force of nature, assisted ( or possibly directed) by his wonderful wife, Mary.
And I think my brother told me that when Michele and Caroline competed in Irish dancing competitions, they may have visited Syracuse, New York, where we live) long before Michele and Christopher met and married.
Syracuse is noted for it´s Tipperary Hill (the Irish and Ukrainian section of Syracuse) upside down traffic light. The green is on top, red on the bottom, because the Irish residents did not want the British red on top, so they kept throwing stones at the light in the 1920s when it was first installed until the city of Syracuse gave up on replacing it.
We wish Mary and all of Michael´s relatives the best.
And feel privileged to have known him.

Our deepest sympathy to Mary, Caroline, Michele, and the entire Walsh family. Mike was one of the great ones . He always had a smile and a joke for you. Mike put his heart and soul into building the Irish Cultural Centre . The entire Walsh family were great neighbors growing up . Mike fixed our cars when we were kids , even if we did have all the money upfront . He worked it out with us !
Mike ,you will be surely missed!
Love

Our deepest sympathy to Mary, Caroline, Michele, and the entire Walsh family. Mike and Mary were great friends with my parents, John and Mary and we enjoyed their company at Keating and Walsh cookouts and Irish Cultural Center events. Mike was always a kind, considerate and hard-working man. Mike will be missed by all. Condolences to all.
