Michael Wilhelm Obituary
Mike attended Poly Tech High School and went on to work for the City of Rockville from October 1991 to December 2022. He started as an inspector and worked his way up to become the Chief Contracts Manager. During his career, he obtained his professional engineer license as a P.E., which helped him advance to his management position.
Mike was a long-time member of The Church of Ascension in Westminster, Maryland. In his free time, Mike enjoyed photography, music, golf, travel, and spending time with his family.
Mike is survived by his wife, Terri Lynette Wilhelm, sons Michael Blake Wilhelm and Amanda Wilhelm, son Lucas Arthur Wilhelm, stepdaughter Regina Ann Duckworth, stepdaughter and son-in-law Cathy Ann Diehl and Brian Diehl, stepdaughter and son-in-law Christina Marie Goodman and Gary Goodman, brother and sister-in-law Timothy Wilhelm and Betsy Wilhelm, and father and mother-in-law Martin McElroy and Marion McElroy. Michael had 15 grandchildren and 3 greatgrandchildren.
A "Memorial Service" will be held on June 16, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the American Legion, 2 Sycamore Street N, Westminster, Maryland 21157. A "Celebration of Life" will immediately follow the service until 4:00 pm. Contributions may be made to Bridging Life Hospice of Westminster, Maryland, or to Cancer Research.

To the Wilhelmina family, especially Terri. Mike was instrumental to the well being of Church of the Ascension. He bought his calm demeanor and quiet good humor to our services. He was one of our star volunteers at The Mistletoe Mart. I can still see Mike at the big dishwasher. His efforts kept the meals flowing. He was a good man who could be counted on always. Thanks Mike! I saw Mike at an elementary school reunion a while back. We had connected on Facebook and when he told me about the reunion I had to go. Hadn´t seen him in probably 50 years. He was always one of the nicer little boys in school. I was so happy to see him. He honestly hadn´t changed a bit. I´m sure he will be greatly missed. RIP Mike.

I worked with Mike at the City of Rockville for 14 years. We played basketball for most of those years with other City employees several times a week. For some reason Mike and I played against each other during those games (great times). RIP my friend! Dave
