It was a true blessing and an absolute pleasure to have be-friended Mike. Mike was a brother instantaneously. I always felt that him and I shared the same vibration from the very start. Vanessa and I enjoyed Mike's presence everytime we were fortunate enough to spend time with him. He definetly had the Holy Spirit in him and a big heart to match. I truly hope he knew how much I appreciated him calling/texting me every single veteran related holiday too thank myself and family for our service. He never missed a holiday and I began to look forward to his messages every year. We miss him very much already, but know we will see him again one day. We love you Mike and may GOD Bless you always brother. Christopher & Vanessa.

Sweet prayers for you, Laura, as you're going thru your time of grief.
It was such a joy getting together with you guys while we were all in Jarrell, TX, where we met, in our RV's.
You could catch Mike, daily, with his outdoor TV on football and a stogie in his mouth! LOL Nighttime dinners together quickly became a thing during our 3-4 week stay there - enjoyed every single one of them with you two!! Rest in peace, Mike - we will see you soon enough - maybe our rooms will be next to each other! (or at least down the same hallway) ;o)

Mike had a force. He was strength and energy but so ridiculously humble and meek at the same time. Every time you were in his presence you felt his warmth and knew he saw you. This world needed him and he delivered. They better have cold Coors Light and an open tee time ready when this Angel hits home. Love you Mike.

Although I did not get the pleasure to meet Mike in person, I did get a glimpse of his life through Laura from the story she shared with me almost daily. From what I´ve gathered in the last year is that he was an overall humor driven individual, a devoted partner who showered Laura the respect she deserves, and most importantly a great man who loves her unconditionally. Sending my most sincere and deepest wishes to family at this time. I continue to think about you Laura, always.

Lorraine and I first met Mike back in 2020. My wife had just had ankle surgery and we "happened" to park right behind them at our RV park in Desert Hot Springs. It was during the height of the pandemic-craziness when everyone was shouting to keep your distance, but Mike and Laura, were having none-of-it. If you were within arm´s length, you were getting a hug! That´s what made Mike so different. When you were with him you became "family". We all became fast friends. I had the privilege of marrying Mike and Laura and later baptizing him. From that point forward, he would refer to me as "His pastor". It was a high honor. Mike was gentle, warm, sincere but most of all, authentic. There was no pretension with Mike. His character reflected the man he loved, and that is Jesus. Mike was who he was, flaws and all, and accepted you for who you were, flaws and all. Jesus said, "There is no greater love than this-than to lay down your life for your friends". I feel Mike demonstrated this every day. With every inviting smile, every meal he shared, every time he would call and say "Hey fam!", he was reflecting that sincere love. That was Mike. To know him was to love him; and we loved him. And now, as we all face a future without his deep, booming (sometimes mischievous) laugh or his welcoming smile, I draw comfort in the knowledge that he is now living in a place of perfect peace and perfect happiness. In fact, he´s probably wearing the most colorful and outlandish golf outfit the heavenly pro-shop has to offer! Because, that´s Mike. While some might consider this an obituary, I think Mike would call it an invite. An invitation to lay down your current worries and concerns, and experience a slice of the joy and freedom he is now experiencing. In the book of Revelation, chapter 3, verse 2, Jesus calls to each of us and says, "Behold, I stand at the door of your heart and knock. If anyone responds to My voice and simply opens the door, I will come in and dine with them, and they with Me". If you accepted this invite, there will be a mighty reunion on the other side of the clouds, much joy, many laughs, multiple stories, but until that time "fam", rest assured; Mike is okay.
