Michael Wojciechowski

Just hearing this now... I met Mike at WMU around 1970. He was in my PE bowling class and we realized we were both avid fishermen. We fished for years together for trout and salmon in small streams, rivers, lakes and Lake Michigan. I left MI long ago and lost touch. So sorry to hear of his passing and wish the best healing for Janet and the boys.

Doesn´t seem like 2 years have passed. Mike you are still missed. I miss our phone conversations when I would call to talk to Janet.

Mike was my best friend. We served in the U.S. Navy together from 1967 thru 1969 on the island of Guam and in Viet Nam. He was the best man at my wedding and we spoke every week. RIP my friend.

Mike will be missed, he was such a special guy. When I called Janet I was always glad when Mike answered the phone. There were some interesting conversations. Zoee will miss her treats. RIP Mike.

I´m so saddened to hear of Mike´s passing. I can´t think of my childhood without remembering Wojo´s big, friendly voice as he walked up our driveway to bring us fish from one if his trips, Christmas goodies, or just as a friendly neighbor to say "Hi." I am thinking of you and sending prayers during your time of loss Janet, Joe, and Mikey.

Mr. Woj is the sole reason I love history! He was such a special human with a gift to win over the hearts of his students year after year. He made everyone feel seen and he had the best jokes. His zest for life will be fondly remembered. Rest easy Mr. Woj. Holding his family close to my heart.

Hands down one of my favorite teachers and quite possibly the cause of my extensive personal collection of war documentaries.

We had the absolute honor and pleasure to work with Woj at Delton Kellogg Schools. Great sense of humor and incredible knowledge. Loved him. We will miss him.

Mr. Wojciechowski ("where´s your house key" :) was a teacher of mine about 20 years ago, and he stands out in my memory. He was genuinely funny, blunt, grounded, and really cared for his students. My heart goes out to his loved ones. I am sure he will be sorely missed.

Mike was a big hearted man with a big personality. We've been lucky to have him as a friend and neighbor for 40 years. We will remember him fondly for his thoughtfulness as a neighbor, for bringing us fresh fish and his magnificent Christmas cookies. So many years of laughs and good conversations; gone too soon. Our love and prayers for peace for Janet, Joe and Mike.

Spent many years teaching next door to Mike, stealing his coffee, stealing ideas and sharing fish stories. Mike made a big difference in the lives of a lot of students. My sympathy to Janet and the boys.

Woj was one of my all time favorite teachers. I ran into him a few times over the years, it was always good to see him. He gave me the nickname Arlo because of my last name (it stuck through high school). I'll never forget him, my prayers go out to his family.

He was one of my favorite teachers. He loved to pick on us girls cause we struggled with history. But deep down we know he loved us. Haven´t seen him in years but the last time I did it was in meijer and he remembered me. May he rest in Peace.

I am so sorry for your loss. "Woj" was, if not a father figure, at least that goofy, loving uncle that everyone enjoys. During my 18 years at DKMS, we used to say that they built the school around him. I mean that in jest, and out of respect.

I´m so sorry for the family loss I remember the good times when Mike would come down to the locker room to talk with Rob before we had are practices, just hearings them two laughing and giving us all crap. Mike was a great teacher and friend he will be missed by all my prayers to you all

I´m so sorry for your loss. He was a wonderful educator and a wonderful teacher 8th grade history was never boring.

First spelling test of year (6th grade) we had to learn to spell his name, read Treasure Island and build our own forts from the book, so many popsicle sticks. Was ecstatic that he was the our History teacher in 8th grade. Saw Mr Woj a couple years ago at Meijer in Plainwell, he never forgot a student.
One of my favorite memories was Marvin Haven would always say posta (in stead to supposed to) Mr. Woj would always say "posta, that's what you tie a horse ta) Great Teacher, Mentor and Friend.

I was just telling my girls about learning to spell Wojciechowski for extra credit on our quizzes! I will always remember him as a teacher who cared deeply for his students & made learning history so much fun! Love & prayers for family and friends. Rest well, Mr. Woj!

I had the pleasure of having Mr. Woj as we called him as a teacher in high school. He taught me some lessons that I carry with me today. My condolences and love sent to you and your family.

The dearest teacher l ever had! A rough and tough exterior but a soft, heart of gold inside. Praying for his family and thanking you, for sharing him with us!

He was the reason I went into teaching History. Prayers to his family and friends.

What an amazing legacy he left with his students. We always knew he cared and he made learning fun. Praying all who loved him find peace as you walk through your grief.
