Christian, Roland, Rose-Ellen and Barry and Virginia Wood send their deepest sympathies to the Woo family. A whole group of Yorktown youngpeople have lost a kind, patient, generous, and encouraging friend. Never once did Michael (or Linda) complain about one too many kids in the house, or one too many late night phone calls to check on a teenage child spending a wholesome, happy night at the Woo household. We will all miss Michael!

I was pleased to have known Mike during his tenure as a staff member with the House Energy and Commerce Committee. He was a person of great integrity and knowledge, as well as a wiry sense of humor. Moreover, Mike was always helpful to personal staff members. I send my deepest condolences to his family. Mike was one of a kind who made a difference in the lives of everyone that he met.

I extend my deepest sympathies to Michael's family: his sister and my dear friend, Nancy Woo, her brother Ben, and Michael's parents, all of whom I have known since childhood in San Francisco. May the everlasting memory of Michael's legacy help ease the pain of this profound loss. My thoughts are with you at this sad time.

Mike was a colleague of mine on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, where we worked on very different issues. I knew him as a warm, generous man with a great sense of humor -- qualities that exceeded, for me, his exceptional and highly regarded professional expertise. He was a good and dear person who will be missed by many whose lives he touched. My heart weeps for his family.

All of us who worked with Mike on Capitol Hill knew him as an industrious, hard working and creative individual with great insight into the challenging issues on which we labored. I first met Mike in 1976 during the natural gas debates in Congress and consideration of the Carter Energy Program. Mike's analysis was critical to helping Congress forge a rational transition from regulated to deregulated markets in enacting the NGPA. Few professionals have a real opportunity to make a lasting mark in their chosen field; Mike made his. Because of that he will both be remembered and missed.

I would like to offer my condolences to the family and friends of Michael Woo for their loss.

I had the pleasure to work with Michael when he served on the staff of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and I later dealt with him on issues relating to his work for USEC.

I was always greatly impressed by Michal's knowledge of the issues and his professionalism. I was so sorry to hear of his accident, and I just wanted to let the family know that my thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
