My condolences to you Emmalyn and Andrew at the untimely passing of your Dad. Although Mike and I didn't really know each other that well, I felt a connection with him each time he came up the NYC to visit "the lady upstairs". Each time he visited, I tried to reassure him that I would keep an eye out for "his girl" in the bldg, as he had the daughter that I didn't. I will remember him as a gracious man with a big smile that barely concealed a heart of the same size. To no surprise, I see him every time I engage with my upstairs neighbor! Mike's spirit lives on...........

Emmalyn and Andrew,

I am so sorry to hear of Mike's passing. I remember both your parents doing crafts in what I guess was a garage in Macon converted to a workroom. I remember weaving baskets and watching him with stained glass as well.
My prayers are with you during this chapter of change in your lives. I know your dad is up cooking for God right now and telling him how it is done. I wish I could have known him in the latter years.

May Good bring you peace and rest as he had your father.
In Christ,

Cousin Mike and my sister Anne both lived near Atlanta for a time. They spent time going to shows and cooking. Anne babysat sometimes. I would hear how great a guy he was, and they kept in touch even after he moved away. After my sister passed away, Mike would call once in a while and we would talk about Annie and what he was doing, which was always SOMETHING. Family was very important to him. Right now, I am going to go raise a glass to Cousin Mike.

Michael was my cousin who I never got to meet in person. I am sad that never got to happen. My grandmother Louise was his Aunt, and the sister of his dad. I am so sorry to hear of his passing.

Emmalyn and Andrew - so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. He was an absolute force of nature. I remember how he always lit up a room with his smile and infectious laughter. We will toast to the good times especially the amazing trip to Hawaii with you all. I remember it like yesterday.

Love to you all while you go through this transition in your lives. Three cheers to MikeY and his celebration of life.

Emmalyn, Andrew, and Ligaya, I’m so sorry for your loss. What an amazing man and an amazing life. I’ve known of Mike for years and am so thankful that he graced the world and all those in it with his smile and gusto! Through hearing many stories it is clear how absolutely amazing he was and the world won’t be the same without him in it. He will surely be missed. Sending love and strength during this time.
