Karen Michele Fisher, 67, of Dover, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023, in Community Hospice Truman House following a period of declining health.
She was born in Canton, Ohio on December 12, 1955, to the late Thomas Smith and Phyllis (Sellers) Kohler.
Michele was employed by Dayspring Christian Bookstore in downtown New Philadelphia for many years.
On November 30, 2002, she married Gary Fisher and together they have enjoyed 21 years of marriage.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Fisher; mother, Phyllis (Bert) Kohler; sister; Cindi (Mark) Perry; brother, Tom (Peg) Smith; half-brother, Mike (Kristen) Smith; half-sister, Brenda Smith; step-brothers, Jeff (Patti) Kohler, and Al (Gloria) Kohler; and step-sister, Suzanne (Randy) Church.
In addition to her father, Michele was preceded in death by her step-mother, Karen Smith; and step-sister, Rhonda Bigler.
A service celebrating Michele’s life will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023, in Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory at New Philadelphia. The service will begin at 11:00am with Pastor Rob Eller officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia.
