Although our friendship did not exceed outside school, I remember Michelle very well. I did not, however, remember that she wrote something wonderful in my Shanahan yearbook many years back, which I haven't read until tonight. Michelle will forever remain in my heart and will be missed.

Hey Baby Girl - my heart cries for all the people that are hurting from the disease of addiction, the desperation and hopelessness that it carries. I am blessed that you are with me and that your Spirit speaks through me when I have the opportunity to reach out and share with others. God does use all things for His purpose and plan if we only let Him. I love you and miss you every day... TLA "Momma/Mommy"

I was Michelle's Creative Writing teacher, among other courses, at OASIS. She was a brilliant young woman with an inner spark that reached out and touched and changed all those with whom she came in contact. Sadly, the world is diminished by her passing, as we will no longer have the chance to see her beautiful light.

My prayers go out to Michelle's family and friends. I had the pleasure of having a semester of A Psychology course together at DELCO with Michelle. Although short, I did get to see her very sweet and warm-hearted personality. You are in ny prayers.

My dearest friend, Bonnie, as you know I suddenly lost my only son, Dominic who was 20 years old on Sunday morning just two days before Michelle’s passing. I’d like to share a story with you and others that will hopefully give some peace with Michelle’s passing. While seeing you Wednesday night, we spoke of our children playing together when they were younger and hopefully being together again. At 2:10a.m. while standing outside due to the fact that I couldn’t sleep, I saw two deer which has never occurred before in my residential area. One of the deer was playing in the street and was almost hit by a passing car, while the other was on a front lawn. The deer in the street stood still facing me as our eyes met approximately 50 feet away. Surprisingly it didn’t run away like most deer do. After about 10-15 seconds I realized that this was the sign that I was asking for since he son had a love of animals. I felt at peace knowing that Dominic was in a better place. Once I realized this sign, the deer met up with the other and they ran together down the middle of the street out of distance into the night. I then realized that the other deer represented Michelle and that our children were together again. I never believed in signs before but the feeling I felt that night was simply overwhelming and at that moment I had a feeling of inner peace come over me. I hope this helps you and others during this very emotional time.
