Michelle was a client who became a mentor and a friend to our studio. Our paths were intertwined from my husband being the person who did all the touch ups for her photos for her bag line back in the day at duggal, which we found out as we were getting to know each other, to meeting me and use sharing our notes about parsons and myself sharing and marveling at her experience of the world of fashion from a different decade. My respect and love for her is not long in time but deep. I wish I had met her earlier, but I´m blessed I met her at all in my lifetime.such a wonderful amazing woman shined another path for me and kept my perspective of life more vivid and optimistic.she is a legend in my book, and I will miss her stories and opinions.she was the definition of amazing. Our sincerest condolences to her close friends and family members.

Michelle and I met as neighbors living in the same Greenwich Village building and discovered we had mutual friends. I enjoyed our impromptu chats, working together on the Tenants Association and evenings spent visiting in her impeccably decorated apartment.
At the height of the 2008 recession, I was laid off from my job. During one of our chats I mentioned needing to get my hair colored. Michelle said, "That´s expensive. Why don´t you do it yourself?" I told her I didn´t know how. Without missing a beat, Michelle offered, "I´ll take you to Ricky´s to get what you need and, then, bring a towel to my apartment and I´ll show you." And that´s what she did. There´s not a single time I color my hair that I don´t think of Michelle and her incredible generosity of time, talent and spirit at that time and so many others.
I was terribly saddened to hear of her recent battle with cancer and her death. Michelle was a truly beautiful person and her light will be missed. My heartfelt condolences go to her family and family of friends.

I am so sorry to hear of Michelle's passing. I was lucky enough to have worked with her while she was designing for St. John. She met me in Italy and showed me around. I met with her friends for dinner and a dinner party at her friends house. She knew the history behind every statue, building and historical landmark. She was beyond a beautiful person. She was warm and welcoming and so dang talented! She will be truly missed.
