Michelle HEINEMANN Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Michelle. Michelle, born November 4, 1956 in Regina, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully September 16, 2016 at home with family at her side in Vancouver, BC. Predeceased by her sister, Denise Faith Kletzel; Michelle will be forever remembered by her loving husband, Gerald Bawol; father, Lawrence Heinemann; mother, Loretta Heinemann; sisters, Sharon Johnston, Cheryl Sklar and June Heinemann; and brother, Mark Heinemann. Also to cherish her memory are nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends. Michelle grew up in a large family and as the oldest was the trail blazer for her brother and sisters. Michelle was an accomplished and creative academic, writer, artist, television producer, teacher, and avid reader. She also invested in international properties, developed homes, and ran businesses. Michelle was a great chef, and liked fine dining. She loved travelling around the world with family and friends, sharing her many great adventures. Cremation will be held, with memorials to follow in Vancouver and Regina, dates to be confirmed. Condolences for the family may be left at

It has been a year since Michelle has passed away and even though I met her only once I think of all the people who loved Michelle and how they must have missed her beautiful presence. Thinking of Michelle and her family and friends. May your days be lighter and hearts filled with joy as you remember Michelle.

DEAR FAMILY: I am a friend of "Old Granny" though I would never address her as such. Michelle's Anniversary did not pass without her tears, and memories! Mothers love forever.

DEAR LORETTA,
I was shocked to read in the LPost that you had lost a second daughter. Mothers don't expect to outlive their children and it seems so unfair that you should lose two daughters. But the thought of these two girls meeting now in heaven seems comforting. From the obituary I was so impressed with all the talents that Michelle had. She certainly had a life well lived. I know you will take comfort in the many accomplishments of Michelle in her too short life.

Words will not be enough to give any kind of solace to your hearts but as the days and weeks go by my prayers wish for Time. Time for your hearts to heal, time to remember the good days and the joyous moments that Michelle brought to your lives. Hopefully your memories will ease the burden of your grief. My sincere condolences to Gerald and all the family and friends who knew and loved Michelle. I had the privilege of caring for Michelle in their home for the last three months before her passing. She was a force of nature and a witty well traveled soul. Her time was far too short. However now she is onto a New Adventure. May it be as spirited as she is.
