Michelle Linsley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 11, 2025.
Michelle Linsley, 59, of Franklin, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at her home, surrounded by the love of her husband and her three sons. Her warmth, strength, courage, infectious dry wit, and unwavering devotion to those she cherished left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Born on June 30, 1966, in Mobile, Alabama, Michelle grew up in a close-knit family, forging lifelong friendships from kindergarten through her sparkling senior year at the Julius T. Wright School for Girls, a cornerstone of what is now UMS-Wright Preparatory School. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to Auburn University and the University of South Alabama before she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Georgia State University's College of Business Administration.

Michelle's professional journey took her to Boston, Massachusetts, with her husband and first son, but her distinguished career in healthcare began upon her return to Atlanta in 1996. She dedicated 20 years to the field of Revenue Cycle Management, retiring in 2025 as Vice President at Altior Healthcare, a company devoted to providing residential treatment for teens and young adults with mental health challenges. Her leadership and compassion touched countless lives in her professional community.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Michelle's love for her children and grandchildren was boundless and well-known. She was an avid reader and a passionate fan of the Atlanta Braves and her Auburn Tigers. Her flair for home renovations transformed her Franklin forever home into a warm, inviting haven, reflecting her love for design, inspired by countless hours watching HGTV. Michelle cherished two-week family vacations at North Carolina's Outer Banks, visits to art museums, and lively evenings honky-tonking in her favorite cowboy boots. Her legendary southern pecan pies were a Thanksgiving tradition, shared generously during her favorite family holiday.

Known for her understated wit, fierce loyalty, and nurturing heart, Michelle had a gift for making everyone feel valued. Whether cheering at a ballgame, mentoring colleagues, or hosting family gatherings, her vibrant energy and love shone through.

Michelle is survived by her adoring husband, Dan; her children, Ryne (Andrea), Cam (Casey), and Drew (Samantha); her grandchildren, Kate, Tucker, and Cannon; and her siblings, Dale Winship, Gloria Gail Winship, and Tracey Brantley. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Haines and Gloria (Langford). Her legacy endures in the values she instilled-love, resilience, and joy-and in the countless memories she created with those she held dear.

A private celebration of Michelle's life will be held at her residence with family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Michelle's memory to her cherished charities, the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Michelle's light will forever shine in the hearts of all who loved her. As she often said, "However far away, I will always love you."

Life has a way of taking more than it gives. But I think that´s the point. We pour ourselves out-giving, loving, showing up-and in the end, what remains is the imprint of that offering on the people we shared this life with. That´s the legacy. Dan, my heart aches for you and your family in this loss.

I will think of you with tears in my eyes and laughter in my heart. She was the best Altior V.P. and my friend. I will always love and miss her "dry" humor especially when she would tell me off, so funny! Boots were our thing so we shared many websites for shopping and going to eat lunch at Whole Foods. I hope she knew how much I cared for her, she was the best! I miss you, my friend! Condolences to the family that she loved so much, they were her world.
