Hard to believe that I knew Michelle for some 27 years. I always looked forward to seeing her in the Orlando Building before I went to teach my class. We would have lovely chats about anything and everything, but mostly we shared our favorite movies to watch. And, she would give me updates on Craig over the years. She loved Craig so much! I will miss her, as will so many others who benefited from her kindness and generosity of heart and soul. She was truly amazing!

Through all my years at Southern as an adjunct professor, Michelle was there to help when needed, to be a friend needed and encourage myself and others when the need was greatest. She was the best of the best and this world will sorely miss her. Rest in peace my friend.

Michelle was the smile that greeted me every time I entered the School of Public Health building. She was the heart of the department and always took the time to ask about my students and my family. I am deeply saddened by her passing.

I don't even know what to say. Words seem so inadequate at times like this. I am just heartbroken learning of our loss... Craig may the love of family and friends hold you together as you grieve and know you aren't alone as we grieve with you. Hugs.
And just a side note.... there's no A in Hetherington

I knew Michelle from both work and church. She invited me several times to holiday dinners. She was a warm, welcoming soul and such a pleasure to interact with. She knew how to make good things happen. So saddened by our loss. I will remember her with a smile always.

I´d really hoped the Wonder Woman bracelet I sent her would somehow magically restore her strength. I am so happy that I got to know her. I am so sorry for your loss. She was a warrior. May your memories be a comfort to all of you.
