Michelle Rogers Obituary
Of Washington, DC, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at Las Vegas Trauma Center. She leaves a devoted husband, Troy Edwards Rogers. She is also survived by one son, Dexter A. Monk, Jr.; her parents, Norma Dawes Ball and Michael E. Ball Sr.; her brother, Michael E. Ball Jr.; niece, Nadira Ball; her grandparents, Elmer Ball, Elaine Wallace and William Wallace. On Thursday, July 24, visitation for friends and family from 10 a.m. until time of Homegoing Service at 11 a.m. at Plymouth Congregational Church, 5301 N. Capitol St., NE, Washington, DC. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery. Arrangements by POPE.

I can't believe that it's been 16 years since your Beautiful Smile has been gone from this place. I do know that you left an Indelible Mark on each and every one of us that knew you. It seems like yesterday that we were at the beauty shop and Tamica was washing & styling your lovely head of hair after your trip to Jamaica. Janelle, you and I were enjoying the moments that most women do at the salon. A few days later Misty called me with news that took my breath away and to this day I have that same urgency in my mind, body and soul when I think of you! That feeling that somehow I can save you and bring you back from this tragic accident.
I do know this, God had a plan for you and you did your Earthly work and your time here wasn't wasted. Michelle Mikki Lysa Ball Rogers, you were able to be a Shining Light for your family and friends. Someone who left a trace of Greatness and Love . I was one of those people who was Blessed to have received that Mark and so were my family members.
