I have fun memories of Mich on the tennis court. She had a wonderful sense of humor. I remember one time when we were packing to move, we had an aquarium with two fish and my husband told me to flush the fish down the toilet. Instead I put the fish in a baggy and drove to this little mom and pop' pet store close to downtown Houston. I walked up to the pet store door and there was Mitch holding a similar bag of fish, because she was moving also. We both just started laughing, because what are the odds?

We have so many memories of times spent with Mich and Frank. We played tennis, met in foreign countries purely by chance, shared champagne on special occasions, spent many Sunday mornings eating Dim Som, enjoyed theater performances, toured the MFA together, discussed books and even shared our dog Whiskey. Our deepest sympathy goes to you Libby and your family.

Dear Libby,
Thanks for letting me know about your mom. Your mom was such a kind and gentle person. I am grateful to have met both of you and been a part of your journey in Houston. May all the special memories you had together help you get thru this time.

Dear Libby,
I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom. I know you, Ben and the girls will miss her so much! You know your parents were very special to me as are you. We had a great time working together back in the 80's and 90's during the "Decade of the Brain" led by your Dad and bolstered (one of your Dad's favorite words) by your Mom with their LONGHORN gatherings. They were always so proud of you and it was my pleasure to watch you grow from a young woman to a wife and mother. Please know I will keep you in my thoughts with many happy memories of Mich and Frank and you, always. Maureen Casey

I of course am saddened by these news. I have fond memories of the many great times we had in Mich and Frank's beautiful home in Portland, Or. Among the fun things was when I escorted Mich to Kyoto, Japan to surprise Frank who was attending the World Federation of Neurology meeting! He didn't know we were coming! What a wonderful trip it was.

I will always remember Mich for the hospitality she and Frank demonstrated by opening their home to me and many others to enjoy such wonderful music, food and wine. These fond memories will never fade.

A fabulous tennis player and friend, Mich was very thoughtful and caring when someone was in need. She pulled herself through cancer issues and gave support to others in the same situation. Memories of her will be lasting.

Sad news about a staunch friend over many decades and wonderful supporter of Frank. Hedi and I are sorry to lose another warm link with our youth.
