MAGUIRE MICKEY (WILLIAM)
February 28, 1945 to June 3,2013, on the morning of Monday, June 3, Mickey Maguire passed away unexpectedly due to a heart attack. Mickey was born in Lawrenceville, PA and resided in South Fayette Twp. Known for being quite the socialite within the South Fayette community, Mickey will be remembered for his incredible sense of humor in any situation and his relentless passion for cars. Mickey always strived to push his limits. Mickey was always eager to help those around him, carried a vigilant energy that was enough to light up any room, and never failed to exercise his sense of humor with those around him right up until the end. Mickey is survived by his wife, Patricia; his daughter, Taylor; and his son, Connor Maguire. Funeral Mass and Entombment has taken place under the direction of WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE (412-563-2800).

We knew Mickey as the walking man. He walked in our neighborhood for many years and watched my kids grow. He always was so kind to them and interested in what they were doing. He will be very missed by my family. He was someone that you truly felt was on your side. So sorry for your loss. The ponikvar family.

Patty,
My thoughts are with you and the children at this difficult time. Although I had not seen you or Mickey for years, I'll never forget his parties at Jamestown or volleyball night at Scott Middle School. The circle of friends we had back then was enormous and Mickey was the nucleus. May he rest in peace.

To Mickey's family, I am so sorry for your loss! I knew Mickey from the JCC and his presence there is already sorely missed. He was definitely the socialite there as well spreading his humor and professing his love for the local sports teams (well... on occasion there was a hint of sarcasm most notably with his Pirates). But that was Mickey to the core! To his children, I had opportunities to have oonversations with him where you were the subject matter and I am sure you are aware but he was obviously very proud of you both.

We unfortunately have lost a few people lately from the JCC; all very unique and genuine individuals. So if in fact there is an after-life we can be sure that Bennett, Ralph and now Mickey have taken over their lanes in the 'pool'.

We are so sorry to hear about the passing of Mickey. He is a long time good friend and a one time good neighbor, with a good wife and 2 good children whom we love. He will be dearly missed. May he rest in peace. May God bless his family.

With Condolences and Deepest Sympathy,

Ed and Mei Hwang
