Mikala Brantley

Mikala Renee Brantley (Stenzel), age 59, passed away on April 16, 2025, in Portland, Oregon, after a decade-long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Born on September 10, 1965, in Lewiston, Idaho, Mikala was the daughter of Ronald A. Stenzel and the late Bessie M. Stenzel. She grew up in Lewiston and Prineville, OR.

Mikala was known for her shy demeanor and kind heart. Her bright smile left a lasting impression on those around her. She found joy in simple pleasures and creative pursuits. An avid crafter, she loved knitting, quilting, and exploring new artistic hobbies, a passion she passed down to her daughters. She also enjoyed people-watching and listening to music-quiet pastimes that reflected her observant nature and appreciation for the world around her.

Mikala shared many years of marriage with her beloved husband, Evan L. Brantley, who preceded her in death. Together they raised two daughters, Taylor J. Brantley and Regan N. Brantley.

In addition to her daughters and father, Mikala is remembered by all who knew her for the gentle light she brought into their lives. She was also preceded in death by her mother Bessie and brother Ronnie J. Stenzel.

In remembrance of Mikala's journey with Alzheimer's disease, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Alzheimer's research organizations such as the American Brain Foundation.
