Mike Bachinski

Mike Bachinski, 91, of Charleroi, formerly of Monessen, died Friday, July 2, 2004 at home. Born Feb. 23, 1913, in Monessen, he was the son of the late John and Julia Panchisin Bachinski. He had been employed by Blacktop Paving Co. and the former Victoria Paving Co. of Washington prior to his retirement. A World War II Army veteran, Mr. Bachinski had been a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Monessen and a former member of the Ravens Athletic Association of Monessen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Lunt Bachinski; three sisters; and one brother. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Michael Bachinski Jr. and wife Nikki of Charleroi; one daughter and son-in-law, Marian and Robert Altobelli of Long Branch; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation, but a public service will be held at the chapel at Mon Valley Memorial Park Cemetery in Donora on Tuesday, July 6 at 10 a.m., followed by interment.
