Mike Dodds Obituary
Loving husband of Virginia (Johnston) Dodds. Devoted father of Scott and Lisa Dodds of Ayr, Jody Dodds and Jessica Fagan of Kitchener, and Dawn Dodds and Mike DeJong of Kitchener, and grandfather of Trevor and Rebekah, Hunter, Alora, Kaleb, Samantha, and William.
Brother of John and Theresa Dodds of Kingston, Robert and Joyce Dodds of Kingston, Timothy and Laura Dodds of Trenton, Mary Ann and Keith Drew of Kingston, and Bruce and Karen Dodds of Peterborough.
Mike was born in Scarborough on April 23, 1957, and lived there until he was 10. His family relocated to Trenton where he met his wife Virginia. He moved to Calgary in 1975 where he began his career in management, and studied at the school of management where he received a degree in Business Administration and Business management. He was a member of the Society of Safety Engineering.
Mike continued his career with Loblaws Companies and was one of the six who opened the Maple Grove distribution center in Cambridge. He remained with Loblaws until his retirement.
The funeral service will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 780 Elizabeth St. W., Listowel, on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
Memorial donations to Kidney Foundation or Watch Tower Bible Tract Society would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.

As children, Mike and I were very close. We are the same age and before Lisa and Maryann came along I was the only girl in the Dodds family. I spent every summer at the cottage surrounded by boys who often teased me and chased me with snakes and bugs but Mike always came to my rescue. Time and distance may have kept us apart, but I will always cherish our childhood at the lake. To Mike´s family we would like to extend our deepest condolences.

I am very grateful to have worked and to have been one of Mike´s first original six labourers whom helped set up and open Maple Grove Distribution Centre, Mike was the right man to lead us and help transition many various union employees into a new mega facility! Mike provided a steady balance of leadership, teamwork, sternness, fairness, fun and camaraderie in a tough life changing situation for many many families! May his memory comfort those whom cherished him most! It is with love and respect that I thank his family for sharing Mike with us at Maple Grove,, Mr Dodds will forever have provided an incredible memory and positive effect on me!
