To Shawn and Family:

On behalf of the Graduate School staff at VSU - our thoughts and prayers are with you. Mike was always a help to prospective graduate students as they prepared to take required exams for graduate admissions, and always willing to offer assistance to us. May you find comfort in warm memories and in the gentle embrace of family and friends.

Lizzy and Family,
I wanted you to know that you, your mom, and your brothers have been in my prayers. I've kept up with you through the years by seeing your daddy at Wal-Mart and other stores around. He was so proud of you and your brothers. Treasure your memories of him.
Blessings,
Mrs. Lynn Tessin

Shawn, I'm sorry that I was not able to be there at the memorial service due to a prior trip to west Texas to be with my family (we lost my dad in March). Mike was a great friend and I've enjoyed his company and conversations immensely over these past dozen years. He will be missed terribly by all of us who knew him. My deepest condolences to you and the kids... please rest in the knowledge that VSU's embrace is full and complete.
