I remember listening to Mike way back in high school
His style made it exciting, that no other broadcasters can match! It was like you were at the game. God must want the best to call heaven's hockey games! Thank you Mike for all the good times. May your family find comfort with God at this time.

I had the pleasure of working (sort of) with Mike when he was PR man and radio voice of the Phoenix Roadrunners in the old Western Hockey League in the early 1970s. Enjoyable and pleasant in a great atmosphere. RIP Mike. I was glad to know you, if only briefly.

Mike Lange was such a personable gentleman with a heart made of gold. He would always come into Denny´s on McKnight Rd to do his paperwork. He ordered an iced tea with lemon. Asked me why I didn´t see a Penguins game at Civic Arena. Eventually I did go. You´re missed but not forgotten. My love & prayers go out to your family & the Penguins.

Mike Lange befriended me while I was a student at Arizona State University and he was broadcasting Phoenix Roadrunners WHL games. I still remember his kindness and he had the makings of a future NHL broadcasting great back then. My sincere condolences to his family.

As a student at Arizona State University, I was privileged and honored to meet Mike when he was the play-by-play voice of the WHL's Phoenix Roadrunners. He was always personable and advised me as I wa majoring in broadcast communications at ASU. We lost touch over the years but I walways remember his kindness. My sincere condolences to his family.
