Dear Trudy and Family,
We are so sorry to learn of Mike's passing. He was a loving and kind man who always came to see us when we arrived home to visit our parents. Memories of his warm greetings and hugs will always be with us. Mike was a true teacher, inspiring generations who took with them his great life lessons. He leaves an indelible mark of courage, kindness, ethics, and respect - a life exceptionally well lived. Know that we hold you all in our hearts and pray for God's comfort and blessings.
Love,

Coach was a very special person that touched the life of myself and our family. He was much more then a coach - he was a mentor - a father figure. I was fortunate to have visited Coach and Trudy along with a few other former HS wrestlers recently and was able to bring my 2 grandsons who wrestle - I wanted them to meet the man who had a great influence in my life. To Trudy and entire Nardone family - Our Deepest Condolences. God Bless Everyone

Dear Trudy,
I am so very sorry to hear about your husband, Mike. He was the gym teacher for our 5 sons. I missed the obituary in the paper but our son Joe's company was fixing the air-conditioning at the funeral home and that is how he found out. I was good friends with Jane Pfoh and we use use to see both of you at their home. My heart goes out to you for your loss. I know how hard it is because my Henry passed away in February.

Rest in peace Coach, my thoughts are with your family at this time. Had the honor of being one of many lineman back in the mid-seventies on the OHS football under Coach Nardone, One of the toughest men I have ever know, with a great heart who always went above and beyond what was excepted. Had the privilege to coach at OHS after graduating and was able to get to know Coach Mike. He turned me on to umpiring baseball many years ago and took the time to work me in a few games and help me out which I truly appreciated and have never forgotten.

Dear Nardone Family,
Through out the 60's and early 70's Coach Nardone was my brothers coach at OHS. I know that he instilled in his player a sense of fairness and play not always extend by others in his field. He was a fair man who gave all his boys a chance at success.
Thank you for sharing him with all of us.

I know how much you hurt with the loss of Mike as I'm still missing Leon since last Dec. I'm thankful for the times we got together in the past few years. We graduated from PHS in 1951 & visited over the years both in NY & Utah. God has blessed both of us for having so many years with a loving husband & a beautiful family. He will truly be missed. I'll pray for both of them. Love Sue (Mohlsick) Pilling

I am saddened by the news that Coach Mike is no longer with us.
To Mrs. Nardone, sorry I still can't call you Trudy, Young' Mike, Laura, Jamie and your families, my deepest condolences on your loss. While I have lost touch with Coach and the rest of you, there hasn't be a month in the last 38 years that I haven't thought of or been reminded of Coach Mike in some way.
As a former OHS Indians Wrestler, there are no words to really describe how he, and you, affected our lives. In 1978 I tried to put into words what the coach meant to me. It took a little digging in the attic but I found what I needed in my wresting memoirs.
So to Coach Mike, a fond farewell. You will be missed. To his family, wrap yourselves in the memory of him and know that you have so many more "family" members who share in your loss.

MY COACH
There is no one word that can describe this man. The Russian word Czar' which means little father, is the word that comes closest to describing him best, because to his wrestlers he is a father.
He has a great deal of pride in his wrestlers and he takes much pleasure in teaching them. He adds a touch of kindness, love and care in his teaching and makes one feel confident in himself. He grows a little and dies a little as each of his children grows or dies There is no one else like him he is a giant, a legend in his own time.
This man is Mike Nardone this man is my coach.
He has taught me many things. No one has ever taught me as many things as he has he has taught me to be confident in myself and helped me realize my capabilities. He has taught me to fight and never say die; he has taught me to trust, to be honest; he has taught me there are still good people in this world.
We have laughed together and we have cried together. We have grown together. I thank him for his knowledge and for what he has let me experience. I will never have these experiences again and there will never be any one else like My Coach'.

Mike was a good man, a great father, and a humble neighbor. He was always the first one to greet you, even if you were a stranger. He was dearly loved and will be sorely missed.

Coach was a mentor to me on and off the mat. He taught me about the sport of wrestling and teamwork (The Sticks )but he taught me more about how to be a stand up person. He was truly a extra ordinary man. He will be missed by all. Rest in peace coach.

I heard a few months back that coach Mike was not doing well from Kenny, who was planning a get together at the Nardone home in June and I was thinking about coming from Arizona. Then the event was cancelled due to his health. When I heard that, I called immediately and spoke to him also his wife Trudy via phone call while they were sitting in their sun room on Hoover Ave, I told them how much I learned from the Nardone family about tradition, hard work and dedication in the sport of wrestling and how that is applied to our lives in the future. I felt so good to tell him what he meant to me as a great teacher, coach and amazing person he is. I experienced & learned respect, sportsmanship hardwork and the most important; family. I can still hear him "hit the duck under" & "Remember the sticks, when there together it makes it stronger"
To Mike Nardone's family My sincere condolences for your loss of a great man in your lives. He will always be remembered by the entire Bianco Family. With respect.
