It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Miki Henson; our loving and devoted wife, mom and mama. Mom passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at the age of 71, after a long hard-fought illness.
Miki Lorraine Holland was born March 21, 1949 in Oakland, California, the 3rd of 4 children born to William Mart Holland and Billie Jo (Springer) Holland. A child of a career military family, she lived in various places throughout her childhood. Her early years were spent in Oakland, followed by stops in Nevada and eventually the family moved to Holdenville, Oklahoma to be closer to family. Miki later moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas and it was here she met the love of her life, Billy Dwayne Henson. By chance, while babysitting one evening, Billy and Miki met, and the rest as they say, is history. They married on October 10, 1966 in Fort Smith. They first made their home in Moore, where they welcomed two children, son Mike and daughter, Kimi. In 1982, they settled in Newcastle, and it has been their home ever since. Miki worked at the General Motors plant in Oklahoma City. She retired after 25 years of employment. Miki was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and their families and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as mama to Hailee. She had such a kind heart and made friends and touched lives everywhere she went. Miki loved her flowers, and tended to her garden daily. She was an avid shopper, and loved to spoil her family. She was a woman of great faith, and a 46-year member of the Triumph Family Worship Center in Oklahoma City. Mom you will be dearly missed! We Love You!
Miki was preceded in death by:
Her parents, William and Billie Jo Holland and
Her siblings, Marty Holland, Melinda Paylor and Mary Lynn Parker.

There are no words to describe just how special Miki was. She loved fiercely, forgave easily, and saw the good in everybody. She laughed at our teenage pranks, and held us when we cried. I will miss you Miki.

Billy, Mike and Kimi and family. There are no words to express the sadness I feel for you and your family. I was thinking of her and Billy the other day and thought I needed to check on them. Every time you saw Miki she always had a hug and kind words to say to you. I will miss her greatly.

Miki always treated me as one of her children as she did all of Mike and Kimis friends. I spent a lot of my teenage years and early twenties at their house, playing video games, all night volleyball games, crazy trampoline wrestling and who could forget the crazy 4th of July Roman candle fights! Miki always had food and drinks for all of us guys that would be hanging out at their home. She always made us feel at home. She was a very wonderful and special woman and will be greatly missed by all! Love and prayers you all, you have and will always be like family to me.
