Millie was my Aunt and my Mom's (Barbara "Bobbe" Walton) best friend. They knew one another since being teens. Growing up there was never a birthday or Christmas missed by Aunt Millie. She always remembered me -- after all she was there along with my Uncle Jim when I was born.

After my Uncle Jim passed away we were blessed to spend every Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day and birthdays with Aunt Millie for almost 30 years. Her favorite hangout was Mimi's. Sadly, we were not able to spend this last Mother's Day with her.

If anyone can make it to Heaven then it's Aunt Millie. She led a good Christian life and we are all better for having known and loved her.

Aunt Millie was the only Aunt I had a childhood relationship with. She was kind and beautiful. While God will welcome her with open arms, I am sure this world will miss her terribly.

Millie has been a good friend since our years at Colorado Springs High School in the class of 1947. Millie will be sadly missed by many of the class.
