Mildred Virginia Catron Cullop MARION, Va. Mildred Virginia Catron Cullop, "Micky", age 72, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at the Francis Marion Manor. She was born Dec. 29, 1938, in Chatham Hill to the late Martin Luther and Myrtle Marie Catron. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Everette Cullop and a brother, Raymond L. Catron. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include, two sons, Delter Cullop and wife, Ann, Marion, Beckley Cullop, Hillsville; one daughter, Zana West and husband, Stacy, Marion; two brothers, Delter Catron and wife, Sis, Martinsburg, W.Va., Junior Catron and wife, Phyllis, Frederick, Md.; three sisters, Dorothy Woods, Hague, Va., Jerlean Eader and husband, Sonny, Poolesville, Md., Catherine Maus, Boonsboro, Md.; four grandchildren, Shai Cullop, Chilhowie, Va.,Tyler Nicley, Marion, Wendy Gullion , Chilhowie, Jason Gullion and wife, Cassaundra, Chilhowie; five great-grandchildren, Judith Gullion, Radford, Va., Sierra Gullion, Chilhowie, Scott Gullion, Chilhowie, Alyssa Gullion, Chilhowie, Franklin Gullion, Chilhowie; and several nieces and nephews also survive and special friend, Betty Sawyers. Special thanks to Smyth County Community Hospital ICU and 4th floor staff and the Francis Marion Manor 2nd floor staff for the care given to Mrs. Cullop. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Monday April 4, 2011, at the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion, with the Rev. Neville Mozingo and the Rev. Mary K. Briggs officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
