Wade and Denise, our deepest sympathy and prayers are with you and your family. Mildred was a great lady which is demonstrated in the wonderful person you have grown up to be. As time goes by it will get easier and you will be able to enjoy the wonderful treasury of memories that you have of her.

Wade and Denise,

Words always seem to fail in times like these. There are the usual “my condolences” etc. but they seem like mere social requirements. The one thing I have learned is that we are all the sum total of our memories and to others the memories we have created inside of them. I did not know Mildred personally only her son and daughter-in-law within whom she has shaped part of their lives. Our dates on earth are not important as in Mildred’s case, 1943-2010, but rather the hyphen in between which represents the life she has lived and the many wonderful memories she has created for all those around her.
My sincerest feelings for her family and friends,

Jack Busa

I didn't Mildred very well, but she held a warm spot in my heart from her kind words dedicating the Goliad Feed Store to my dad, Dennis Jacob. She spoke so wonderfully about him & their working relationship.

My thought & prayers will be with the family in their time of loss.

To the Family
My prayers are with all of you. I feel priviledged to have know this lady and shared a business freindship with her. I do remember how fond she was of her pet fashion shows. I hope they will continue in her memory. She was a wise business woman in every sense of the word. I will miss seeing her. May God bring healing and peace to her family.

Mildred was one of the strongest, hardest working women I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Although we "ruffled each other's feathers" a time or two in the course of running our businesses, I know there was mutual respect and admiration for the tireless efforts we both put forth to take care of our stores and our employees. I pray that God's comforting embrace and perfect peace surround all of those greiving the loss of a dear friend, colleague and loved one.
