Mildred Hamrick Reynolds

Mrs. Mildred Hamrick Reynolds, age 97 of Shelby, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Carillon Assisted Living in Shelby. She is survived by her children, Dale Reynolds and wife Jane of Shelby, NC, Cordelia Burris of Shelby, NC, and Phyllis Cooper and husband Gary of Charlotte, NC, two daughters-in-law Barbara Reynolds and Dorothy Reynolds, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, a brother, David Hamrick and wife Johnnie Mae of Shelby, NC, a sister, Lena McSwain of Shelby, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews. Born March 12, 1921 in Cleveland County, Mrs. Reynolds was the daughter of the late Bezola and Bue Hamrick and was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, L.D. Reynolds Jr., two sons, Alan Reynolds and Lyle Reynolds, a son-in-law, Reece Burris, a brother, Everett Hamrick, and four sisters, Alma McSwain, Frances Barber, Irene Padgett, and Thelma Hoyle. Mildred loved quilting, working in her flower garden, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, October, 16, 2018 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel. A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park. The family would like to express a sincere thanks to the staff at Carillon Assisted Living, Hospice of Cleveland County, and her niece, Rachel Hunt for the loving care they gave Mildred.
