TROY — Mildred L. Lewis, age 78, of Troy, OH, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Brookdale Senior Living in Troy. Mildred was born on August 8, 1940 in Troy, OH to the late Charles and Catherine (Andrews) Smedley.
Mildred is survived by longtime companion: Fred Louthan of Troy; her children: Randy (Jayna) Lewis of Sidney, OH, Catherine (Steve) Grewe of Lakeview, OH, and Julia (Bob) Sorg of Kettering; Fred's children: Sherry (Scott) Sowry of Troy, Leanne (Michael) Fleck of New Bremen and Amy Randolph of Kettering; her sister: Charlene (Randy) Burnside of Troy; her grandchildren: Tabitha Neth of Troy, Annie Beth Koon of Piqua, Randi (Clint) Mohler of Kettering, Keenan Lewis of Troy and Zane Lewis of Troy; Fred's 6 grandchildren; her great grandchildren: Parker and Owen Neth, Norah and Sullivan Mohler, Riley Lewis, Asher Koon, and Payton Neth; and Fred's 4 great grandchildren. Mildred was preceded in death by her son: Marc Lewis.
Mildred graduated from Miami East High School in 1958 and from Edison State with an associate degree. Mildred dedicated many years of service to Troy Sunshade Co., Hobart Manufacturing, Simpson Industries, and The Avenue. In her free time, Mildred enjoyed quilting and gardening.
A Memorial Service will be held at Baird Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 1p.m. Visitation will be held from 11a.m. to 1p.m. at Baird Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Plattsville Cemetery in Sidney.
