RICHLAND HILLS -- Mildred "Millie" McCauley was called to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012. She was 82 years young. Memorial service: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Richland Hills Baptist Church. Millie will be laid to rest in D/FW National Cemetery in Dallas, along with her husband, Dan. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Memorials: The family strongly encourages that donations be made to Richland Hills Baptist Church or Dan Echols Senior Center in North Richland Hills. Millie was born in Sweetwater and was a longtime resident of Richland Hills. She was married to Dan McCauley for over 50 years. They spent 20 years as a military family while Dan served in the U.S. Air Force. Millie was an active member of her church and was a devoted wife and mother. Her hobbies included taking continuing education classes at TCC, reading, gardening, quilting and spending time with family and friends. Millie was a gracious lady who will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors: Her two sons, Robert McCauley of Estes Park, Colo., and Randall McCauley and wife, Rita, of Southlake; granddaughter, Robin Wilkerson; three great-grandchildren; sister, Juanita Scott of Cottonwood, Ariz.; and many nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.
