ANAWALT — Mildred O. St.Clair, age 71, of Anawalt, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born April 21, 1939 in Leckie, she was the daughter of the late Edward B. Duncan Sr. and Mary E. Vider Duncan.
She was a resident of Anawalt the greater part of her life. She was of the Holiness faith. She loved working with crafts, cooking and collecting recipes, and she loved her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by, in addition to her parents, her husband, W.W. St.Clair; three brothers, Steve Duncan, Edward B. Duncan, Jr., Donald D. Duncan; one sister, Rose Lane; and stepfather, Fonso Greer.
Survivors include one son, James B. St.Clair of Anawalt; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth St.Clair of Anawalt; one brother, George W. (Bill) Duncan and wife Ann of Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister, Ivelee G. Dick and husband Wayne of Bland, Va.; three grandchildren, Chloe, Mark and Leann Browning; and a dear friend, Carol Greer,
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 3, 2010 at 11 a.m. from the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Welch with the Reverend Orville (Jim) Blevins officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Bluewell.
Friends may call Sunday evening at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
Fanning Funeral Home of Welch is serving the St.Clair family.
